Action & Advocacy

The CTSI’s core purpose is to provide a cross industry community to promote clean technology development, profitable commercialization and global integration of sustainable industry practices, enabling the transformation of businesses, governments and society towards a more sustainable global economy.

Thank you to the over fifty clean technology sector representatives that participated in the 'One Day, One Voice' Clean Technology Policy Tour on March 5 & 6, 2008.
Participants met with over 45 members of Congress and senior officials at the Department of Energy to advocate for policies that will drive the clean technology sector.

Grand Vision & Actions

Public Initiatives

In the United States, CTSI is developing legislation to establish the National Clean Technology Initiative as a federally funded R&D program to coordinate multi-agency efforts in science, engineering, and technology related to clean technology and sustainable business innovation.

Commercialization Acceleration

CTSI provides active matching between tech transfer offices (IP), early stage companies, corporate business development interests, governmental award programs, and the investment community. CTSI partners with venture networks, external review boards and award programs to continuously allow member opportunities of immediate problem-solution, technology-business, and venture-investment matching. These programs are specifically designed to accelerate the delivery of new technologies or practices into the marketplace and society.

Certification

CTSI is actively developing a Clean Technology and Sustainable Industry Certification as a way of identifying and promoting sustainable technology and business practice use in corporations, universities, organizations, agencies, cities, counties, states and countries. Members of CTSI are currently eligible for Level 1 Certification.

Private Initiatives

The CTSI is actively developing a set of Grand Challenge Awards geared towards the world’s sustainability needs.

Education

CTSI is developing cleantechnology and sustainable industry based tutorials and short courses. Course completion will be used towards accreditation and certification of members.
