Ener-G-Rotors, Inc. sells devices that represent a breakthrough in the economic generation of electricity from low temperature heat. Our customers can now efficiently recover some of the estimated 15 quadrillion BTUs of low grade waste heat generated in the US by industrial processes, combined heat and power plants, and commercial buildings. In many cases, the payback on these investments is less than two or three years. Our solutions help our customers lower energy costs, reduce their carbon footprint, and increase energy efficiency by using more of the energy they paid to make. Rather than throw away low grade heat, our customers can now extract additional monetary, environmental, and public relations value from that energy. The economics of the Ener-G-Rotors solution will also significantly change the solar thermal and geothermal marketplaces by allowing smaller scale production of electricity at low temperatures from these sources.
We have a proven, patented technology, called the Trochoidal Gear Engine (TGE™), which is more efficient, cost effective, and durable than existing technologies when used in an organic Rankine system. We have working 5kW systems that demonstrate the efficiencies we can achieve, and will soon commercially launch the GEN4, our 40-60kW system, targeted at the industrial waste heat market. The worldwide market to economically turn this low temperature heat into electricity and achieve greater energy efficiency is estimated at more than $50 billion.
