Description
Electronic power converters provide the infrastructure for the clean energy revolution including renewable energy production, smarter power grids, improved building efficiency and economic electric vehicles. Ideal Power Converters developed and patented a new electronic power conversion topology. IPC’s topology dramatically reduces the weight and cost of photovolatic inverters, wind converters and VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) for AC motors, while simulataneously improving efficiency and reliability.
IPC is installing pilot tests in cooperation with Austin Energy to demonstration its products, and is seeking pilot project opportunities with other utilities. IPC has received its first US patent with multiple US and foreign patents pending. IPC develops and manufactures its products in Austin, Texas, and is a member of the Austin Clean Energy Incubator.
