E3 is a fully hosted, web-enabled, bundled energy technology and service solution operating automatically and continuously at the premise, in the background, to locate and eliminate energy waste and, to enhance the reliability and efficiencies of existing premise equipment, appliances and systems.
The E3 system is built using adaptive software and techniques capable of learning and dynamically optimizing energy use within the premise to match the changing patterns of consumer behavior. E3 uniquely adapts energy technology to meet consumer’s needs rather than acting to control consumer behavior or deny energy use.
E3’s primary customers are property managers, developers, communities and, electric utilities which, through deploying the E3 system to their consumer customers, can achieve a 15% permanent reduction in energy usage and a 25% reduction in peak energy demand.
E3 produces for utilities the means to satisfy rising consumer demand at a cost that is less than 50% of other alternatives. Utilities are highly motivated to rationalize energy consumption to avoid wasteful additions to generating and transmission capacity and, to reduce carbon emissions. E3 enables the utility to avoid or defer major capital construction expenses in new generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure.
E3 delivers significant, immediate savings in energy costs to consumers, and stakeholders alike, by continuously assessing and automatically adjusting the performance of premise HVAC systems (cooling, heating, air flow, etc.), lighting, water heaters, refrigeration, major appliances and other equipment, in “tuning” these major energy consuming devices so as to optimize their energy efficiency and save energy.
E3’s bundled solution offers a Personal Energy Management Service empowered through a Home Energy Management Operating System (HEMOS) installed in the premise and linked through the Internet to a remote E3 Energy Efficiency Service Center and its associated Knowledge Data Warehouse. E3’s service operates similar to a SAAS (Software As A Service) model. The remote E3 energy efficiency services delivery platform integrates at the premise to a highly scalable mesh network of smart processors, special software, in-premise display/compute devices, sensors and controllers to provide autonomous intelligence capable of measuring and optimizing the premise environment. The E3 system is an open platform architecture, fully interoperable with all existing energy technologies, including distributed alternative energy generation and storage, delivering a “smart” micro grid system for integrating the consumer’s premise and technologies with the utility’s systems and infrastructure.
