The Clean Technology & Sustainable Industries Organization (CTSI) is a global advocate for research, development, commercialization and implementation of clean technologies and sustainable business practices across all industrial and business sectors. CTSI promotes not only new and disruptive technologies, but champions technologies and business practices that improve the efficiencies and sustainability of traditional industries such as Energy, Transportation, Chemical, Agriculture, Food, Personal Care, Consumer Goods, Electronics, Materials, Textiles, Coatings, Retail, Mining, Publishing, Building and Construction.
Creating a Unified Voice
CTSI strives to be a vigilant and powerful force aggressively working in the capital cities to represent our members to legislators. We actively engage in the development of legislation and regulations that advance overall member growth and prosperity by seeking to increase the funding and support for clean technologies and sustainable operating practices.
CTSI’s lobbying efforts are based upon extensive member involvement. We seek your feedback on important issues, and will provide you with regular updates concerning all legislative and regulatory issues of interest to members.
Whether the subject is legislative, regulatory or market-related, CTSI is prepared to provide input and help work toward a solution. Your membership in CTSI will further enhance our ability to advocate for increase the funding and support for clean technologies and sustainable operating practices.
Thank you to the over fifty clean technology sector representatives that participated in the 'One Day, One Voice' Clean Technology Policy Tour on March 5 & 6, 2008.
Participants met with over 45 members of Congress and senior officials at the Department of Energy to advocate for policies that will drive the clean technology sector.
The clean technology policy agenda includes:
- Increasing funding for clean and sustainable technology applied research and deployment.
- Providing for long-term renewable energy tax incentives and implementation policies.
- Developing tax incentives/capital depreciation mechanisms that encourage investment in efficiency upgrades, clean technology implementations, and life-cycle product management.
- Encouraging clean & green federal procurement policies.
- Supporting efforts to remove barriers to public market capital.
