Abstract:
The cost of wind energy resources are low and it is abundant, with a characteristic of the energy saving and eco effect. But if large-scale wind power be merged into the power network directly, the instability of wind speed leads to instability of the output frequency and voltage, and then leads to conflicts for power network. To solve this problem a new strategy of using unstable offshore wind power has been thought up by combination with pumped storage generation with reversible pump turbine. The period of the simulation, output of wind power generation and reversible pump turbine, voltage variation have been discussed and calculated by formula and data. At last, the reduction of carbon dioxide has been calculated that in Qingdao that it is possible to reduce the carbon dioxide about 4250t per day by using the system.
