Abstract:EcoVision Solutions (www.ecovisionsolutions.com.au) is a small technology development company from Australia. Founded in 2004 the company develops integrated control and management systems which facilitate cooperative management of resources in the energy and water supply chain. Initially EcoVision was developed for the award winning residential Ecovillage at Currumbin (www.theecovillage.com.au) where 144 homes and associated common services are being fitted with an end user touchscreen interface which provides real time resource use data and load shed capability for energy and water consumed. With the tightening of regulatory constraints on larger electricity consumers (for example via the Australian National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Bill 2007) the product is finding promise in applications outside the residential sector. This presentation provides an overview of progress EcoVision Solutions has made to date at the Ecovillage at Currumbin and more recently at the Lochiel Park development in Adelaide, Australia where broader potential opportunities for cooperative demand side management are now being explored.
