Abstract:The significance of battery safety and longevity are magnified in large battery system structures, as those present in Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), and Underwater Autonomous Vehicles (UAVs), and specialized aerospace, army, and navy battery applications. With the use of a high-speed element for the analog circuit, and the sub-micro CMOS, our analog ASIC technology ensures that battery cells are thermally balanced, and equally charged and discharged during operation within 0.01µV. Our charge isolation architecture in large battery systems provides control and seamless integration of individual cells arranged in both series and parallel configurations with only passive contribution of the BMS Controller. This results in a new, innovative and safe method of battery control in large battery systems that is generic, scalable, seamless and neutral to chemistry, size, and form-factor.
