Abstract:Abstract: Mt Sabalan is located at NW of Iran with geothermal field under development. The double flash cycle was selected as a power generation system. The obtained results show that the highest power output from plant can be 50 MWe with 3.2, 1.1 and 0.1 bar for high pressure, low pressure and condenser pressures, respectively. Mathematical models for exergy flows were developed and analyzed using the Engineering Equation Solver (EES) software to perform the calculations. A few assumptions and simplifications were made. Disposal hot water out come from low pressure separator can be used as a heat source for district heating system or some other forms of direct uses. Exergy analysis was found helpful and important tool for analyzing the geothermal plants and should be considered at early stages of designs.
