| Abstract: | Magnetic nanoparticles encapsulated in a thin coating as magnetic separable nano-vehicle for chemical species is a hot but challenging area. The stability of the small magnetic body remains a key issue. In this meeting, we report the synthesis of a number of new magnetic nanoparticles encapsulated in a wide range of different ultra-thin functional materials as nano-magnetic vehicles using a micro-emulsion (ME) technique via the adjustments of water to surfactant ratios. The potential applications of these materials will be reviewed. |
