Over the past 18 years, Mr. Holland has developed and managed engineering and applied research activities at the project through corporate levels. His career has encompassed detailed component design through systems engineering and project management. He currently is a senior project manager at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) with a primary focus in management of multi-partner, technology development and deployment projects. Mr. Holland serves as NREL’s project manager for their joint initiative with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) for demonstration of pre-commercial, energy savings technologies at military installations.
Prior to working at NREL, Mr. Holland led cradle-to-grave development of civilian and DoD-sponsored terrestrial and spaceflight technologies. He supported a wide range of NASA spaceflight missions, including Ulysses, ACE, New Horizons, RHESSI, and AIM. He has held engineering and research positions at several private and academic research institutions, including Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp., the Applied Physics Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University, and the Space Sciences Laboratory at UC-Berkeley.
