Kevin Meagher joined Power Analytics (previously EDSA) in 2005 as the Chief Technology Officer and was part of the management team that acquired Power Analytics in April 2008. In 2013, Kevin also became President of Power Analytics. Under his guidance the company introduced industry-leading capabilities for energy management and pattern recognition and transitioned the Paladin technology to a commercially viable platform, which today includes the current generation of Paladin DesignBase™ electrical design software, Paladin Live™ mission critical management software, and the micro grid controller Paladin Smart Grid™. Kevin is the author and creator of the Paladin Power Analytics™ process and has to his credit more than 15 patents in analytical processes. Kevin has also served on the National Science Foundation big data team and been an expert reviewer for the Department of Energy’s SunShot initiative. He has authored numerous papers on power, energy, and high availability architectures and over the past 25 years has lead development organizations and provided strategic planning for companies including Eaton, Invensys, Computer Associates and IBM. Kevin was recently included in the Green Tech Media’s list of the top 100 people you must know in Smart Grid. Kevin has undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and business and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
In 2012 as principle investigator (PI) for Power Analytics Kevin also lead the evolution of Power Analytics solar capability to integrate real time solar inverter monitoring with real time solar forecasting resulting in the industries first system for modeling and simulation in real time to manage solar output and energy storage in large photo voltaic farms. Kevin is also the PI for the most innovative energy program at the Department of Defense SERDP/ESTCP leading a technology implementation for three microgrids at three different US Naval Bases in San Diego.
