DK Kim is the principle researcher of Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute. And now, he has been accredited to Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning as the Program Director of Smart Grid R&D. He has managed and participated in a wide range of projects associated with the development and implementation of power transmission and distribution technologies since 1987. He was the person in charge of the National Smart Grid Roadmap and the 1st Smart Grid Master Plan. And, he was the former National Standards Coordinator for Smart Grid. He has been actively participating in both the bilateral cooperation and the multilateral cooperation in the field of smart grid.
