Mr. Mark McGuffie is Managing Director of Enterprise Honolulu, the O‘ahu Economic Development Board, a private non-profit organization established in 1988 which envisions a healthy and prosperous Hawai‘i. He was a keynote speaker at the OTEC symposium held recently in Kumejima, Okinawa - June 2013. Mr. McGuffie founded in 2003 The Hawai‘i Island Leadership Series – Ulumau and serves on the boards of Friends of the Future, Hawai‘i Aerospace Advisory Committee, Economic Development Alliance of Hawai‘i,steering committees of Islands and Isolated Communities Congress, Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit and Hawai‘i’s bid for 2016 International Union for the Conservation of Nature World Conservation Congress. Mr. McGuffie chaired The World Congress on Zero Emissions Initiatives in 2010. He was formerly Executive Director of the Hawai‘i Island Economic Development Board and Treasurer of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide with operations in 52 countries. He attended Cornell University and lives in Mānoa with his wife Aloha.
