Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation
Liz currently serves as the Director of Planning, Utilities, and Right-of-Way for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) where she oversees the planning, environmental, utility coordination, and right-of-way needs of Honolulu’s rail transit project. Liz is also HART’s liaison with Federal Transit Administration and its Project Management Oversight Contractor.
In September 2012, Liz was named one of Mass Transit Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” for her efforts in shepherding the City and County of Honolulu/HART towards its first FTA Full Funding Grant Agreement, which was realized in December 2012 for the Honolulu Rail Transit Project.
Prior to joining HART in July 2011, Liz was in Salt Lake City, Utah with the Utah Transit Authority. She has twelve years experience in environmental and planning for major transit programs and FTA New Starts projects.
Liz is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and holds a Master’s degree in City & Metropolitan Planning from the University of Utah.
