Joseph (Joe) Boivin, Jr. oversees new market development, corporate and government relations. He is a member of the HAWAI‘IGAS Executive Committee, the senior leadership group that sets strategy for the company. Joe is focused on developing markets for existing propane and synthetic natural gas (SNG) products, renewable natural gas (RNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to help reduce Hawaii’s carbon footprint and increase the use of renewable and sustainable gas energy. Prior to joining HAWAI‘IGAS in 2009, Joe was a senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton in Honolulu, where he led the Economic and Business Analysis Team focused on strategic planning, financial analysis and project management. Before that, he served as managing director of Washington Capital Partners in Washington, DC; a research staff member at the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria, VA; and a manufacturing engineer at Northrop Grumman in Dallas, TX. Joe also served four years in the US Air Force as a jet propulsion specialist. Joe is an active member of the Hawai'i Energy Policy Forum and serves on the boards of the Hawai‘i Renewable Energy Alliance and the Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Finance from the University of Arkansas and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
