Michael Snyder is the Founder and President of HEVN (Hawaiian Electric Vehicle Network) Hawai‘i’s first Sustainable Business Corporation, and President of the Hawai‘i Clean Energy Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist the State of Hawai‘i in achieving its goal of having 70% Clean Energy by 2030 through environmental education, green job training and scholarships, promoting Ecotourism, conducting EV Ecosport events and advancing Hawai‘i’s overall sustainability. Mr. Snyder has over 30 years of extensive enterprise level Information Technology development and deployment experience as a team member, leader, executive and entrepreneur in the Aerospace, Communications and IT industries working with and for Hughes Space & Communications (Boeing), NASA, JPL, DOD, IBM, Intel, DEC, Motorola, Harris, Paradyne (AT&T), Parker Hannifin and Cisco Systems. Mr. Snyder also has auto rental experience managing Alamo Rental Car’s Los Angeles Airport operations (10,000 car fleet) and has spent the last ten years on Maui deeply involved in the community including being President and on the Board of Directors of the Kiwanis Club of Maui, managing the County election IT systems and running a Computer Network Administration and Security company. Mr. Snyder has a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science and Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.
