Dave is Director of Federal Projects for Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc., a multi-discipline architectural, engineering and construction firm serving the Department of Defense and Federal Clients worldwide, as well as a broad range of other industries. His current focus is on DOD Energy Initiatives including energy security and microgrids.
Dave graduated from South Dakota State University and is a licensed professional mechanical engineer. He has over 23 years of experience in design and construction of mission critical facilities and infrastructure for industrial and government facilities.
Dave is currently managing the Smart Power Infrastructure Demonstration for Energy Reliability and Security (SPIDERS) program for Burns & McDonnell. Burns & McDonnell completed the design-build and integration of SPIDERS Phase I at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam in Hawaii, and is nearly complete with SPIDERS Phase II at Fort Carson, Colorado. Dave is also leading the team in the design of the SPIDERS Phase III microgrid at Camp Smith, Hawaii.
