Hawai‘i Natural Energy Institute
Dr. Scott Turn is a Researcher on the faculty of the Hawai‘i Natural Energy Institute at the University of Hawai‘i. Over the past 15 years, his research has focused on biomass resources in Hawaii and their utilization. This work has been supported by both public and private sectors in the state. Recent efforts included heading the team developing the bioenergy master plan for the State of Hawaii. He is currently the UH site director for the Center for Bioenergy Research & Development funded by the National Science Foundation’s Industry/University Cooperative Research Center program.
