Akuacom, a Honeywell Company
Clay Collier was a founder and CEO of Akuacom, which was acquired in May, 2010 by Honeywell. Clay led the effort to productize and commercially deploy the first Demand Response Automation Server (DRAS) based on an Open message set (OpenADR). Akuacom worked closely with the Demand Response Research Center at Lawrence Berkeley Labs (supported by the California Energy Commission), Pacific Gas & Electricity, Southern California Edison, and Sempra-SDGE to develop the DRAS solution then open the message set up to the standardization process. OpenADR is now supported by over 50 control vendors and gateway devices, and is being widely deployed.
