Timothy Fuhr was appointed Director, New Ventures Line of Business for Lockheed Martin MS2 in September 2010, and is based in Moorestown, New Jersey, USA. In this position, Mr. Fuhr’s primary focus is Ocean Energy development and commercialization, including Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC), Tidal Energy and Wave Energy.

Tim’s career has included a broad range of product development, project management and business development assignments. He led an International Programs organization that was engaged in naval shipbuilding programs in six countries. He led the efforts which resulted in the award of the Canadian Navy’s Halifax Class Modernization (HCM) Program,to Lockheed Martin. This included a role as Acting General Manager for Lockheed Martin Canada.

Tim was Lockheed Martin’s Program Director for the Norwegian New Frigate program where, in partnership with Spanish shipbuilder, Navantia, a new ship for the Royal Norwegian Navy was developed and produced. Mr. Fuhr received a Lockheed Martin Individual Nova Award for Leadership for the first-of-class multifunction radar development and production for the Norwegian Frigate.

Tim Fuhr started his career with RCA in 1981 as a mechanical design engineer. He received a Chief Engineer’s Technical Excellence Award for development of a laser interferometric positional measurement system for planar near-field antenna test ranges. He has authored several technical and management papers.

Tim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Arts degree from Rutgers University.

Tim is married and lives in Haddonfield, New Jersey, USA.
