HREDV is launching a new clean energy venture accelerator program in Fall 2012 to support and grow Hawaii’s clean energy business community. The accelerator will award about $100,000 in funding to 3-7 companies with clean energy technologies that advance Hawaii’s energy needs and plans. During the 12-month time frame it will address critical needs in commercializing clean energy technology and provide entrepreneurs and companies the tools to develop their business. The program targets companies that are committed to transitioning from a grant focused to investment readiness-based model, and/or are committed to launching grant-funded and other pre-commercial technologies into a new business venture.
