Kevin Chock oversees project development for Chevron Energy Solutions’ Hawaii Region, where he has assisted numerous sectors, both public and private, in a wide-range of energy focused solutions, including energy efficiency, process efficiency, renewable energy, and microgrid applications. Mr. Chock has over 15 years of experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy and has worked in multiple capacities in the industrial, commercial, government and utility sectors as an end-user, service provider and consultant. Prior to working with Chevron Energy Solutions, Mr. Chock provided sustainability and building science consulting services as the Regional Technical Manager with the Chelsea Group. He also worked for Hawaiian Electric Company in a number of roles, including as a Program Engineer focusing on energy-efficiency programs, an Account Manager helping HECO’s largest commercial and industrial customers cost-effectively manage their energy-needs, and as a Program Manager of HECO’s commercial demand-response program, where he led efforts on the utility’s ability to assist clients manage their end-loads and proactively improve the grid’s system reliability through remote automated systems.
Prior to returning to work and live in Hawaii, Mr. Chock served in various engineering and supervisory roles in the pulp and paper industry in New York and California, with a strong background in preventive maintenance programs, process engineering, operations, and environmental compliance.
Mr. Chock holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University and bachelor’s degree in natural science from the University of Puget Sound. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a previous Board Member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Hawaii Chapter.
