The Gas Company. He is responsible for identifying, planning and implementing technologies, products and services into new and existing markets. Prior to joining The Gas Company, Mr. Boivin worked at Booz Allen Hamilton in Honolulu, Hawaii where he managed the Economic and Business Analysis team across the Pacific Region providing management and technology consulting services to public and private sector clients. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director at Washington D.C. based private equity firm Washington Capital Partners. Earlier in his career he served in a number of government-related positions including Research Staff Member at the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria, Virginia; Manufacturing Engineer at Northrop Grumman in Dallas, Texas; and four years active duty service in the United States Air Force ending in 1992.
Mr. Boivin earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Finance from the University of Arkansas. He is also a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a Certified Cost Estimator and Analyst (CCE/A). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, which provides free legal services to Hawaii’s low-income communities to achieve fairness and justice.
