Jeff McCullough is a Senior Research Engineer with the U.S. Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory located in Richland, Washington. His main area of focus has been in commercializing energy-efficient technologies, particularly lighting and HVAC systems. Mr. McCullough led development of the first-ever ENERGY STAR® criteria for solid-state lighting and most recently completed the Lumen Maintenance Test Facility which tests submissions L-Prize℠ competition. The L-Prize is the first “X-Prize” for lighting and challenges the industry to develop a super-efficient LED-based replacement to the common incandescent “A” and “PAR” lamps.
Mr. McCullough received a Presidential Energy Management award in 2004 for leadership in PNNL’s campus-wide energy management program. He is Lighting Certified through the National Council for the Lighting Professional and a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers. Mr. McCullough holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. degree in Business Administration, both from Washington State University.
