Starting at the end of August this year, Hawai‘i will be the preeminent meeting place for international leaders and energy experts at the forefront of the clean energy movement as they converge on the Convention Center in Honolulu to participate in the 2010 Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit and Expo. The State of Hawai‘i and its partners will host a roster of world-renown speakers who will share diverse insights into the implications of advanced renewable energy technologies along with cutting-edge projects, while offering their perspectives on policy issues, and investment and financing opportunities. Timely special sessions will be dedicated to China’s priorities and investment in renewable energy, and a unique trade show will present progressive renewable energy concepts, products, and services.

Leading the Way to Energy Independence for Hawai‘i, the Hawai‘i Clean Energy Initiative aims to transform Hawai‘i into a world model for energy independence and sustainability. Our goal is to meet 70% of Hawai‘i's energy needs with clean energy by 2030.
