Timothy Clark is a Solutions Design Leader (SDL) at Johnson Controls. In this capacity he is the technical development lead for complex Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC). In this role his responsibilities include energy auditing, engineering design, technical, financial and contractual aspects of the project.

He possesses over 27 years of industry experience and has worked on myriad of projects in many different industries including local government, K-12 and higher education. Currently he is the project lead for the development of energy conservation measures, including renewable technologies for the four Oahu campuses of the University of Hawaii Community Colleges; Kapiolani, Leeward, Honolulu and Windward. Timothy led the development team consisting of project development engineers, lighting, mechanical, water and renewal subcontractors in the development of this complex and technically challenging project from its initial stages through completion and closeout. This required Timothy to be active in client meetings and presentations to communicate knowledge of proposed energy efficiency measures as well as involvement with regulatory agencies. Furthermore he possesses a wide-ranging knowledge of construction practices and energy efficiency techniques.

Timothy’s career also includes experience as a Business Owner of Paradyme Lighting Co., a Project Manager at Western Energy Management, Design Engineer at Alexander Scheflo & Associates Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Design Engineer/Project Manager at J. H. Simpson Co. Mechanical Contracting and Engineering before joining Johnson Controls where he’s been for 10years.

His unique combination of energy, electrical, mechanical engineering and construction, and project management for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings experience is the hallmark of Timothy’s strength which affords him a high level of respect from his client’s as he facilitates his role of a Solutions Design Leader.
