Dori Palcovich has been an economic development specialist with the State’s Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism for the past ten years. She has a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a master’s degree in business from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, and a juris doctor degree from Concord Law School in Los Angeles, CA.

As an economic development specialist, Ms. Palcovich currently works in the State’s Energy Division in the Science & Technology Branch. The purpose of this branch is to carry out programs to support the development of science and technology and related industries to further statewide economic expansion and diversification. Areas that receive particular emphasis include oceans, aerospace, and life sciences. Prior to this, Ms. Palcovich was the State’s Small Business Advocate and program manager for the Small Business Utilization Council and the Small Business Regulatory Review Board. These programs specifically helped Hawaii’s small business community with procurement incentives and regulatory burdens.
