Brian Kashiwaeda is the University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges’ Director of Facilities Planning and Environmental Health Office. He is responsible for the repair and maintenance of more than 200 buildings totaling over 2.8 million GSF, spread over seven (7) major campuses and 4 islands. Over the past few years annual funded CIP and R&M budgets including FED Grants averaged $20M resulting in major improvements to each campus.

Prior to joining the University of Hawaii in 1987, Kashiwaeda held various positions with the State of Hawaii Public Works Division of DAGS. His association with the UHCC began in 2004 after holding various Facilities Management and Planning positions with the UH M_noa Facilities Office.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and educated at the University of Hawaii, Kashiwaeda received his BFA in Architecture in 1973. He is a State of Hawaii registered architect.
