Kendra Olmos has over 7 years experience in wastewater and gray water treatment and reuse systems and designing appropriate technology systems. She is currently a graduate student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at University of California at Davis, working with the Center for Water-Energy Efficiency. Her research involves the water efficiency potential for a new mixed-used and zero-net energy development on the UC Davis campus, West Village. Kendra has been working in collaboration with developers, the university, and city and county agencies to explore innovative approaches to water conservation. She formerly worked at a civil consulting firm designing on-site wastewater treatment systems for urban and rural areas around Northern California. Kendra received her B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Humboldt State University. She can be reached at
