Mr. Kimura began his energy career in 1992 working with the EPA on its energy efficiency programs. In 1994 he created Energy Industries an energy services company which he grew nationally. He acquired Quantum Energy and Energy Distribution, created and sold Energy Smart News and founded Sopogy and Keahole Solar Power. In total his companies have raised a combined $100 million in various financings and operate globally. Darren has been recognized as the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Green Entrepreneur of the Year and Energy Pioneer and received the Honua Clean Energy Award.
