It is my distinct honor to bring you greetings on the occasion of the 2007 Cleantechnology and Sustainable Industries Fall Summit. I am sorry that I am unable to be with you.
By bringing together the leading business and technology executives from around the world, you are helping all Americans. We have much to learn form these executives presenting their state-of-the-art technologies in sustainable industry practices and discussing clean and renewable energy technology development needs across all energy sectors.
Using the expertise and advice of leaders from the academic, high-technology, venture capital, biotech, and telecommunications sectors, as well as with students and young entrepreneurs, House Democrats have developed solutions that will help guarantee our national security and prosperity, expand markets for American products, and assert economic leadership throughout the world in the decades to come.
I wish you the best of luck on the official launching of the Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries Organization and the National Clean Technology Initiative. It is imperative that there is a national dialogue on these critical issues.
