Leading Green Building Services Houston office is Amanda Tullos, an award-winning designer who brings an in-depth understanding of design issues combined with knowledge of green building strategies to GBS clients. A registered architect and LEED accredited professional, she spent the last eight years working in the architecture profession culminating in Project Architect and green team coordinator roles.

As a consultant at GBS, Amanda directs the sustainable design efforts for a variety of project types that include higher education, retail, commercial office, civic and municipal facilities. Under her direction, project teams work collectively to pursue high-performance design strategies along the most appropriate path relative to their construction budget and schedule.

Amanda has both design expertise and deep passion for being a part of the Texas green building movement. Active in Houston’s sustainable community, she is a founding Executive Committee member and is the 2009 Volunteer and Green Event Chair for the Gulf Coast Green Symposium on Building. Amanda also served as co-chair for the AIA Houston Committee on the Environment and currently serves and COTE regional team leader for the Gulf Coast and Southeast regions. She has been involved with the local USGBC chapter since its inception, currently serving on the Board of Directors. Amanda is working with the City of Houston to clarify reused materials within the Building Code. She is also a board member and founder of Living Paradigm, a non-profit organization working to form a low-income salvaged materials housing program in Houston.
