Deli Wang

University of California San Diego

Deli Wang received his B.S. degree in 1990 from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Material Sciences and Engineering. Prior to coming to US in 1996, Deli worked on organic nonlinear optical and electro-optic (EO) polymers in Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Deli Wang earned his Ph.D. in the Materials Department of University of California at Santa Barbara with dissertation on the fabrication of novel biosensors using organic light emitting polymers in 2001. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University working on semiconductor nanowires based nanoelectronics from 2001 to 2003. Deli joined the University of California San Diego in 2004 as an assistant professor in electrical and computer engineering department, whose research interests include the rational thesis of semiconductor nanowires and their applications for electronics, optoelectronic, biosensors, and renewable energy.
