Research Manager

Dr. Lewis R. Norman, Research Manager at Halliburton’s Technology Center in Duncan, OK, oversees projects and budgets with internal staff, as well as external contracts with national labs and universities. He currently initiated and maintained a very successful industrial post-doc program. He serves on the Industrial Advisory Board at the University of Houston, represents Halliburton at the Crisman Institute Center for Unconventional Resources at Texas A & M University, serves on the executive board of the Chevron Texaco JIP on Gas Hydrates, and frequently appears as a guest lecturer on energy issues. He has organized and managed various internal and external conferences on gas hydrates, alternative fuels, gas transportation, surfactants, and other specific projects. In addition to his role as Research Manager, Dr. Norman was appointed Halliburton Fellow in 2006, the highest technical position available in the company, and provides consulting and leadership regarding chemical and energy industry related topics.
