A unique nanostructure being developed for multimodel, multiplex biological and chemical sensing. The adjustable nanoscale size allows superior signal-to-noise due to substantial perturbation in the sensor response even by individual biological entities such as protein, nucleic acid, viruses, etc. Moreover, spectroscopy analysis allows for fingerprinting of individual targets.
