This presentation will explore three of Houston’s newest, largest, and highest rated LEED Certified buildings with a focus on the sustainable design and construction strategies utilized. Sysco’s new corporate headquarters is a two building 595,600 GSF office complex that was recently awarded LEED NC Gold Certification. The office complex has the largest application of underfloor air in the city. Shell Woodcreek Phase I is a 170,000 gross square foot six story office building connected to a single story 30,000 gross square feet multipurpose building, and an adjacent 750 car garage. It was recently awarded LEED NC Gold Certification. Trammell Crow Company’s (TCC) Energy Center is a two building commercial office complex on a 5 acre site in Houston’s Energy Corridor. The approximately 630,000 sq. ft project is divided up into two phases. Phase I is a 13-story, Class A building containing approximately 330,300 rentable square feet of office space and Phase II is a 12-story, Class A building with approximately 303,300 rentable square feet. Phase I recently was awarded LEED CS Silver Certification and Phase II is currently under construction and was pre-certified LEED CS Silver.
