Supporting Early Stage Clean Technology Ventures

In Massachusetts there are currently a number of support programs and activities that assist entrepreneurs as they create new companies using clean technologies and seek initial funding. There are also a number of programs that provide small amount of funding at this crucial stage. This panel will review some of these programs and analyze the factors that have made them successful. Programs that will be covered include the Renewable Energy Trust at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center, the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance Advanced Invention to Venture Workshop, the Energy Special Interest Group at the MIT Enterprise Forum, the Ignite Clean Energy Business Plan Competition, and the New England Clean Energy Council.
