Electron Induced Destruction of Organic Air Pollutants in Waste Air Streams

Abstract:

We report on the evalution of a new technology to remove organic pollutants from waste air streams: electron induced oxidation. This technology can achieve high destruction efficiency of common VOCs and organic HAPs without the use of fossil fuels and the corresponding generation of carbon dioxide. Laboratory and small factory scale results will be shown and indicate the key factors in applying electron induced oxidation to practical manufacturing environments.
